Expert Honors Network

Directories & Award Programs

The Expert Honors network operates two distinct tracks: professional directories, where verified practitioners can publish enhanced profiles, and independent award programs, where honorees are identified through editorial research and selection — separate from any commercial relationship.

Track 1

Professional Directories

MyLegalWin and select Expert Honors programs operate paid professional directories where attorneys, firms, and other practitioners can publish enhanced profiles and improve discoverability. Directory listing is a commercial product — it is not an award, endorsement, or editorial recognition. Profiles may also be editorially seeded.

Track 2

Award Programs

Each Expert Honors brand operates an independent annual award program. Honorees are identified through nominations, research, and editorial review — not through purchase or directory participation. No purchase is required to be nominated, evaluated, or recognized. The six-stage process below governs all award selections.

Award Selection Process

How honorees are identified and selected — independent of directories and sponsorships.

01

Candidate Discovery

Candidates are identified through nominations, editorial research, professional sources, and publicly available records. No candidate pays to enter the process.

02

Eligibility Review

Each candidate is reviewed against the basic eligibility requirements for the applicable program, including professional standing and industry category.

03

Professional Record Review

Each candidacy is assessed against available professional information, submitted materials, public records, and other sources where publicly available or submitted for review.

04

Program Criteria Assessment

Candidates are assessed against the published criteria for their specific program. Criteria vary by industry and are published on each program's site.

05

Final Editorial Evaluation

Each candidacy receives a final evaluation under the published criteria. Research at scale tools may support this review, but every selection decision is made under the published criteria.

06

Annual Selection

Selection is made independently of purchases, directory participation, and sponsorship relationships. Each program names a new class annually — prior recognition does not guarantee future selection.

Selection questions

How does Expert Honors select its honorees?

Expert Honors follows a six-stage editorial process: candidate discovery through nominations, research, and public records; eligibility review; review of available professional records and submitted materials; program-specific criteria assessment; editorial evaluation supported where appropriate by Research at scale; and annual selection independent of purchases, directory participation, and sponsorship.

Can professionals apply or pay to be recognized?

No purchase is required to be nominated, evaluated, or recognized in any Expert Honors program. Nomination does not guarantee selection. Directory participation and sponsorship relationships are maintained separately from the editorial selection process.

What sources does Expert Honors use in its research?

Each candidacy is assessed against publicly available professional information, submitted materials, nominations, professional network profiles, publications, and public records. Research at scale tools support this review. Final decisions are made under the published criteria.

Which industries does Expert Honors cover?

Expert Honors operates programs covering law (MyLegalWin), medicine (Med Honors), private capital (Capital Honors), real estate (Broker Honors), technology (Tech Honors), and coaching (Coach Honors).

How does annual selection work?

Each Expert Honors program names a new class of honorees annually. Prior recognition carries no guarantee of selection in a future class.

Our Core Principles

The foundation of every selection.

Merit-Based Selection

Honorees are identified through nominations, research, and independent editorial review — not through purchase or application.

Editorial Objectivity

Published criteria drive every selection decision. Commercial relationships are maintained separately from the editorial process.

Independent Selections

Each candidate is evaluated against the published standards for their program under Expert Honors' published standards, independent of all commercial relationships.

Annual Recognition

Each program names a new class annually. Directory participation and sponsorship do not influence selection.
